We checked off several things and took it to the front desk. Our room was just great and there was a check list of toiletry items one might need. The lobby and restaurant are gorgeous, sophisticated and sleek. We walked in weary, without luggage and we're greeted warmly by the bell and desk staff. We opted for a cab, which took about 10 minutes, $40 cab or limo fare. I called Hyatt Place to find a room, they were full but suggested the Hyatt Midtown, available by MARTA. Hundreds of cancelled flights in Atlanta. Overall, beyond a shadow of a doubt, we'd stay there again.įriday night. But I don't recall any night during our 3 night stay that it woke us up. We thought this would be a big problem, but we found that we only really heard them during the day. The only con I'd give it would be the fact that it is near the fire station. We didn't check out the pool, but it was a heated indoor pool which sounds really nice. They pulled the car around very quickly, too. The valet attendants were really nice and did a great job. We didn't order room service, but any time I called down with a question, they seemed more than happy to help. The shower was clean (standing only) and we never had a problem with the hot water. I don't remember hearing other guests, and there was room directly next to ours. We were on a lower floor, so we did more people watching than getting views of the city on a larger scale, but it was still really cool. We had a corner room with a city view and I loved every bit of it. They were a little firmer than I thought we would like, but it turns out we ended up missing their beds once we got home. The rooms were very clean and the beds were just right. Oh and you're really close to Piedmont Park and a Publix as well as Regions and Wells Fargo. ![]() There was a Caribou Coffee, Vortex and Joe's on Juniper all very, very close, too. Things like Cafe Intermezzo, The Flying Biscuit and Taco Mac (just to name a very few) were all about a block away. We love Atlanta and especially Midtown and we wanted to book something that would be within walking distance of some good restaurants. My girlfriend and I booked this hotel for a NIN concert.
